2026 3x3 Continental Qualifying Tournament

The 2026 FISU Oceania Continental Qualifying Tournament (QT) for 3×3 Basketball will be held at the University of the Sunshine Coast from 14-15 July 2026.

The event is open to teams that win their national university 3×3 championship. Teams that attend the QT event are required to fund their own participation and must have the relevant documentation and visas to travel to the host city.

The male and female winning teams of the FISU Oceania QT event will represent Oceania at the FISU University World Cup 3×3 Basketball. This event will be held in October/November 2026.

About the FISU Oceania 3x3 Continental Qualifying Tournament

3×3 Basketball is a University World Cup event on the FISU event calendar and teams that attend this event, represent their university. Teams qualify for the World Cup via the following pathway:

NATIONAL 3x3 TOURNAMENT

Teams must attend their National 3x3 Championship Tournament.

Universities select their team to attend their National University 3x3 Basketball Championship Tournament. If they win the national tournament, they are invited to attend the Continental Qualifying Tournament hosted and organised by FISU Oceania.

CONTINENTAL 3x3 QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT

For invited teams only.

Teams that win their National University 3x3 Basketball Tournament are invited to attend the FISU Oceania 3x3 Basketball Qualifying Tournament. Other medal winning teams from National Tournaments may receive a invitation at the organisers discretion.

3x3 UNIVERSITY WORLD CUP

For winners of Continental Qualifying Tournaments.

Teams that win the Continental Qualifying Tournament are invited to attend the University World Cup. This event is usually held annually in October. There is one spot in the World Cup draw for a male and female team from Oceania.
