World University Games - Summer

The FISU Summer World University Games are held every two years (on the odd year). The event attracts thousands of elite student-athletes to compete in up to 15 sports across 12 days of competition. It is one of the worlds largest multi sport events.

Winter Universiade

The FISU Winter Universiade events are held every two years (on the odd year). The event attracts thousands of elite student-athletes to compete in a variety of winter based sports.

The next FISU Winter Universiade will be held in Changchun, China from 15-25 January 2027.

World University Championships

The World University Championships are single sport events held every two years (on the even year). They are a mix of individual/team, indoor/outdoor, summer/winter sports.

Each championship is held in the host city and organised by an appointed organising committee under the guidelines of FISU Championships.

University World Cups

University World Cup events are held for the sports of 3×3 Basketball and Football (Soccer).

Teams qualify via their Continental Federation qualification tournaments.
