FISU Oceania celebrated International Women’s Day on 8 March by recognising the women within its leadership team.
Nicola Clayden is the Vice President of FISU Oceania and currently works at Waikato University in New Zealand. Nicola is also Chair of University Tertiary Sport New Zealand and is a champion for gender equity and passionate about students having access to sporting opportunities.
Amy Sasser is a FISU Executive Committee Member and currently manages the day to day operations of the Marshall Islands Olympic Committee. The Marshall Islands Olympic Committee is also the National University Sports Federation of the islands. Amy is passionate about ensuring students maintain their sport and physical activity pursuits as they journey through their tertiary education.
Donna Spethman is FISU Oceania’s Secretary General. Donna also works as the General Manager for Governance & Member Services with UniSport Australia and is a member of the FISU Education Committee.
All three women are mentors, advocates for inclusion and diversity as well as champions for the university and college sport sectors.
