Tony Siamomua attends Eastern University Games

Samoa's regional development officer, Tony Siamomua is attending the Eastern University Games, to hone his skills in event management and provide support to the event in his role as Sport Liaison Officer.

As a Sport Liaison Officer, Tony is responsible in assisting to deliver competition and to provide support to competition staff in the sports of soccer, basketball, lawn bowls and tennis. 

Appointed the regional development officer in only March this year, Siamomua is relishing his time on the ground in Australia at one of Australian University Sports' largest multi-sport events.

“It's great to see how the Eastern Unigames is run and to meet the students. I look forward to learning more so I can take it back to Samoa and work with our organising committee to produce a bigger and better Samoa unigames,” he said.

The Eastern University Games are being run from 3-7 July in Wollongong, NSW concurrently with the Northern University Games (Sunshine Coast, Queensland), Southern University Games (Footscray, Victoria) and Western University Games (Bunbury, Western Australia).
