Team NZ set for 28th Summer Universiade

A 97 strong team will head to Gwangju, South Korea to represent New Zealand at the 28th Summer Universiade from 3 - 14 July 2015.

Lead by Chef de Mission, Christine Arthur, team NZ will compete in Artistics Gymnastics, Athletics, Diving, Fencing, Rowing, Swimming and Table Tennis.

With a strong athletics and swimming contingent, New Zealand are certain to be a force on the track and in the pool especially with the likes of Kane Radford competing in the open water swimming event before heading off to represent his country at the World Championships.

In addition athletes, Nikki Hamblin (1500m) and Angie Petty (800m) will be full of confidence after both finishing 5th in their respective events at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Nikki and Angie will be joined by World Juniors bronze medallist Eliza McCartney in the pole vault and national record holder in the 400m hurdles, Cameron French.
