Samoa’s University student leaders are well underway in their preparation for their annual Uni-Games which will take place on September 9th and 10th at the National University of Samoa (NUS) sports premises.

Student leaders from the NUS and the University of the South Pacific (USP) have started their workforce meetings (June 23rd and July 22nd respectively) to prepare for the Samoa Uni-Games.

Samoa’s FISU Oceania Regional Development Officer held a workshop with the Uni-Games workforce on July 22nd and there is much excitement as tasks for the Uni-Games have been clarified and delegated to the workforce.

A total of four sports will be played at this year’s Uni-Games, including; touch rugby, netball, volleyball and soccer. One of the major highlights for this year’s Samoa Uni-Games is the inclusion of a mixed soccer game for the first time since Uni-Games started in Samoa five years ago.
